FIT INDIA CAMPAIGNS

 Fit India Movement is conducting Fit India Freedom Run from 15th August – 2nd October 2020 to encourage fitness and help us all to get freedom from obesity, laziness, stress, anxiety, diseases etc. The concept behind this run is that “It can be run anywhere, anytime!”. You can-

  • Run a route of your choice, at a time that suits you.
  • Break-up your runs.
  • Run your own race at your pace.
  • Track your kms manually or by using any tracking app or GPS watch.
It is performed for various reasons, to aid growth and improve strength, preventing aging, developing muscles and the cardiovascular system, honing athletic skills, weight loss or maintenance, improving health and also for enjoyment. Many individuals choose to exercise outdoors where they can congregate in groups, socialize, and enhance well-being
Sports and games have many benefits for children and also for adults. They release pressure and teach us skills of surviving in this tough life. Also, they provide entertainment and pleasure and help socialize our lives. Playing outdoor games can also strengthen their muscles and bones, build immunity, and lower the risk of many diseases like diabetes, heart problems, and obesity. Playing a certain indoor game can help you making a strong emotional bond with your kids.

The activities includes yoga and meditation for all in the routine morning assembly, setting up of “fitness houses” , free hands exercise and activities on fitness for all in the morning assembly, debates and lectures on examination stress management and mental well-being by pecialists during the morning assembly, beginning of “fitness assessment” of students by organising 1-km walkathon/fitness runs to check their fitness levels, fitness/sports quiz for all students in the morning assembly at recess and competitions in traditional/regional games among the staff and students of the fitness.
